26 Oct Oregon Worker Relief Fund – Second Round
The Oregon Worker Relief Fund is distributing a second round of relief payments to individuals who do not qualify for federal aid but nonetheless, have lost work and wages and experienced hardship due to Covid-19. Additionally, if you’re a farmworker who’s had Covid-19 and had to isolate, you may be eligible for the Oregon Worker Quarantine Fund. Oregon Worker Relief Fund eligibility requirements:
A FIRST TIME applicant must have worked in Oregon for at least 60 days before calling the call center to join the waitlist.
*For example, if you call the center on October 5, you will at least have been working no later than August 5, 2021.
A SECOND TIME applicant is someone who has already received an initial benefit payment from the Worker Relief Fund.
You cannot apply a second time if you are still waiting for your first approval or payment.
EACH applicant applying for the Oregon Worker Relief Fund must meet eligibility criteria and submit proof of identification.
The Quarantine Fund For Oregon Farmworkers:
The Oregon Worker Quarantine Fund offers up to $1,290 in financial support to farmworkers who self-quarantine for 14 days after being exposed to COVID-19.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Individual must be 18 years of age or older;
- Has had exposure to COVID-19 for which self-quarantining is recommended and (a) was in contact with someone that tested positive for COVID-19 in the workplace; (b) tested positive for COVID-19; (c) lived in close proximity to other household members that are COVID-19 positive; or (d) have been contact traced.
- Is practicing self-quarantining; and
- Is seeking health care assistance during the period of self-quarantine.
