Bienestar’s SOLV Event at Willow Park Apartments in Forest Grove

On a beautiful fall Saturday, 24 volunteers gathered at Willow Park Apartments in Forest Grove to plant donated trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals. We were very pleased to welcome a large group of volunteers from the Forest Grove Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (pictured right). Other volunteers included staff and residents and their families.

Bienestar completed renovations on this 46 unit apartment property in June. Construction cost over-runs ate up the landscaping budget, but based on our experience with SOLV last May at Sunset Gardens and Sierra West Apartments, we were eager to try to help Willow Park.

Local nurseries and growers provided generous donations of annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees. We are very grateful to:

Willow Park was truly transformed in a matter of hours thanks to SOLV, the volunteers, Bienestar staff Gracie Garcia & Maria Moreno, and the generous nurseries.
